O Sidera On-site
Festival Sastamala Gregoriana FinlandSt Olaf's Church, Kallialan kirkkotie 50, 38200 Sastamala
Language, distorted by Lassus or stretched by the Byzantine Asmatikon, fades away to make room for pure sensation. A new grammar is created, that of the encounter between music and the body, between the bodies of the singers and the body of the conductor's gestures and the bodies of the listeners, in the wake of the sound waves. O Sidera is a shock, a rapture, which is first experienced and then explained. The programme can be read when the singing stops, as if to seek a rational explanation for what we have just experienced.
Musicians
- Lila Hajosi - Conductor
- Chloé Roussel - Mezzo soprano
- Fanny Chatelain - Alto
- Olivier Merlin - Tenor
- Xavier Bazoge, Jean-Marc Vié - Bass
